We will focus on the vocabulary words within the story (dawn, mammoth, chat, borrowed, lapel).

Partners will work on building sets of 9 and 10 using a 10-Frame and comparing with each other who has more/less. Next The children will hear the story, Ten Black Dots and see how sets of 9 and 10 dots can be made into something. The story will be used again tomorrow so the children can create their own picture using black dots.
