Phonics: Glides and Liquids
Glide sounds glide or move into the next sound. They are:
/y/, /w/, /wh/
Liquid sounds are a bit slippery like a liquid. Those are:
/l/, /r/
**We will also practice making letters with circles and curves: O, Q, C, G

Handwriting: Tall Line Down and Short Line Down
Tall Line Down: Start on the "top line" and end on the "writing line".
Short Line Down: Start on the "middle line" and end on the "writing line".          

KinderLiteracy
Using the story, Huggapotamus, the kids will ask/answer simple recall questions such as: What does an author/illustrator do? Who are the characters? etc. In addition, we will learn the vocabulary words in the story (delight, waddle, spotted, skidded, sigh).

Kindermath: Read and Write 0

            Using the story, Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed, the kids will be acting out the story to get to zero. What does '0' mean? How do you know? The kids will work on this skill through a variety of activities.
