Character Education: Today is Mrs. Weninger's last day for Kindergarten Character Education. She has helped strengthened the kids' understanding of the Superflex characters. Your child will be bringing home a poster with all the characters they learned about.
Writing: Get well cards for our foster grandparent, Don.
Language Arts: The children will act out Katy's First Day of School.

 Math: Match Me Plus One
1. With partners, one child builds a set using cubes.

2. The other child matches that set and adds one more to their set. 

3. An important piece is to do 'math talk'. After the sets are built, the children should say something like this: "8 is one more than 7."

4. Now the children will write down their thought into something like this:
____ is one more than ____ .
Watch for it to come home today...Due Tuesday.
