With partners, partner 1 builds a set using cubes. Partner 2 rolls a cube that has +1 or -1 on it. Partner 2 matches the same number of cubes that partner 1 has and adds or subtracts one to their set. An important piece is to do 'math talk'. After the sets are built, the children should say something like this: "8 is one more than 7." or "7 is one less than 8."
The kids will also be working on the app, Splash Math with the IPads.

~Tomorrow is HAT DAY...Your can wear a hat if they bring a dollar and all of the money goes toward our HAITI goat service project.
