Language Arts: Referring to the front cover of the Reader's Theater Script At School, we will build a 'concept web' about things we do or see at school. After building the web, we will read the story. (This lesson was scheduled for yesterday but unfortunately, we didn't get to it.)

Story: Martin's Big Words By: Doreen Rappaport
~Although we ALL look different on the outside, we ALL look and feel the same on the inside. To demonstrate this, we will look at a brown and white egg and write down the differences we see. The eggs will be cracked open to see that they look the same on the inside!
Writer's Workshop: How are eggs like people?
~Thank you for helping Haiti! We hope to collect the more coins than the 4-6 hallway!
Our Classroom Wish List
Math: Match Me...Number Minus One
With partners, one child builds a set using cubes. The other child matches that set and takes one away from their set. An important piece is to do 'math talk'. After the sets are built, the children should say something like this: "7 is one less than 8."
