Reading Workshop:
Using the story Animals in Their Habitats, the students will work with chapter 3 on camels to summarize important ideas for this chapter as well as learning about text features of nonfiction: index.

 Writer's Workshop: Rereading and Pointing to Where the Words Go
The idea here is for the kids to touch each word that is written down to make sure nothing has been forgotten. Sometimes our minds are going so fast that it's hard to get those words down on paper.
