 Writer's Workshop: The children will be introduced to 'procedural writing'. In other words, telling the order of things-like how to make a peanut butter sandwich.
We did not get to this on Monday.
 Reader's Workshop:  Again, through retelling the story Who's in the Shed?, the kids will make inferences and predictions during the reading.

New Concept: We learned a lot about measuring this year so far. What are some of the ways we can measure something? Today we are going to use pennies to measure a few things. We will use them to measure how much something weighs and how long something is. Watch while I measure my dry erase marker. Demonstrate measuring the length and weight of the marker with pennies.
Whole Group Explore: Now you will measure a few classroom items in the same way. You will not be working with your partner today because I want to see what you know. I have set up stations in the classroom. You will move to these stations on your own.
Student Application: Student will measure the items independently.
