Math: Same and Different...Matching Quantities to 4
(Again, what you are reading is somewhat what I say to the children...)
New Concept:Yesterday we played a match it game with our partners. I will lay out 4 triangles. Then I will match it on the other side of the paper. I need to make sure I have the same thing and the same amount. I will need to count. On this side I have 4 green triangles and on this side I have 4 green triangles.
Whole Group Explore: In partners, students will play “Match it". One partner will put items on one side of their paper then say, "Match it.” Their partner will then match the manipulatives.
Student Application: Students will trace the number 4.
Students will match items to 4.
Students will count and write to 4.

It is Day 10 already! Zero the Hero comes every 10th day and becomes our special counting friend. This is a picture of what he looks like and the cape he brings for the children to wear. This photo was taken last year but I wanted you to see what he looks like.
SMART Room: The children are learning the routine of the Smart Room and how we can learn while moving. I will begin posting pictures tomorrow.

Bus Safety
The children will be seeing a live puppet show put on by M & M Bus Co. inside one of their buses this afternoon. The puppets help reinforce the topics we have learned as well as present some new safety topics.
