We will use the following poster about the boy who has a red ball and is playing by himself. We will work on solving the problem as to how he can ask others to play.
Writer's Workshop: The children will be writing a 'guided thank-you' to some anonymous donors who purchased a light table and activity boxes for our classroom.

Math: About 15: Using a Rekenrek (See image below)
It is vital when learning teen numbers that the kids know they are teen numbers for one reason only...they all contain ONE group of ten. We want to make sure they do not think teen numbers are a '1 and a 2'. A '1 and 2' make 3 and not 12. They should know and be able to explain that 10 and 2 make twelve not 1 and 2.
