Friday, September 5

Friday, September 5
**WAHOO! Our first day as a whole kinderfamily!**
White Day: X (No library, technology, or character education.)

Irish Pride Celebration Today at 8:30
It's GREAT to be Irish!
Bringing our elementary students together builds community and school pride. These celebrations typically last about 20 minutes with music, a quick presentation of the character word for the month, and introductions for new students to Maple Lake. We end the celebration by singing our Irish Pride song.

Touch & Feel...Guess What's in the Bag?
How do glue sticks help us learn? How do we use them properly? How do we take care of them? To apply what they learn, the kiddos will glue small pieces of paper to an apple shape.
Irish Pride
We continue to learn how to open/shut our locker safely, walk quietly in the hall, what the playground rules are, and bathroom etiquette.
Assume nothing, teach everything!

Each day we will work with calendar activities on the SmartBoard.
For now, our focus is learning the routine for calendar time. The children will be involved in calendar time through the use of their 'laptop' binder pages that align with the calendar on the SmartTV.

Today, we will revisit the cafeteria expectations with Don't Be a Lunch Monster
