Language Arts: SummarizingThe kids will summarize what they see in pictures and in text. We will focus on important ideas and details to support what is seen and heard.

Workshop: I am modeling something that happened a long time ago and how I felt about it through visualizing that event. The event was planting a tree for my grandma for her birthday. I will model the sentence Trees make good gifts. by stretching the sounds out and adding spaces.The kids will tell a partner about a memory they have and how it felt then write about it in their journal.

Math: Quick Images: Square TilesSquare tile images are shown briefly on the Smartboard for the children to recreate with their own square tiles. Their work focuses on:
