Language Arts: The Reader's Theater book At School is revisited today in order to work on building fluency and retelling the script: We go to the_____. We get____.

Writer's Workshop: I model 'visualizing' of getting a letter in the mail and how it felt. The next step is to draw a picture of that scene for the kids and slowly write. "I like to get cards." (Focus: stretching out words, spacing.)

To start the game, a player turns over the top card (Let's say it is a 4.) That player places 4 counters on the Ten-Frame. The next player draws a card (Let's say it is a 6.) This player needs to change the number of counters on the Ten-Frame so that it matches the number on their card. (6)
Their work focuses on:
~Creating a set of a given size.
~Adding or subtracting from one quantity to make another quantity.
*This wasn't accomplished yesterday either!
