Language Arts: Working on Inflection/Intonation-Volume using the Reader's Theater script At School.Homework: Have your child read the 'Five Little Monkeys' poem that will come home with them today. They must use inflection/intonation-volume when reading. Sign the sheet and return to school for a prize!

Math: Vinci Tablets! 
I am excited to share with you that our class has been selected to 'pilot' Vinci Tablets for approximately 10 weeks beginning today. A letter is coming home in the Wednesday envelope explaining what it is and how your child will be involved. Each child in my class will be assigned a tablet and work on 'courses' that coincide with our math curriculum. Data from our pilot will be supplied to the company at the conclusion of the 10 weeks. The tablets will be used for 1/2 hour 2 times a week. If you have any questions or want to see one in person, please let me know!

DAILY 5!
 Smart Room: The balance beam is decorated with hearts to coincide with the hearts theme. The challenge is to carry one bean bag on your head across the beam and tilt your head so it falls in the bucket. What a great way to work on balance!
