 Language Arts: Our Reader's Theater book that we will work with this week is called In the Sea.

Before reading the script, we will create a concept web (like this) that displays what we know about sea life.

 Writer's Workshop: After displaying the cover of The Three Little Pigs, the kids will choose their LEAST favorite character and tell the reason why. Next, I model writing my opinion of my LEAST favorite character and why. It will say something like this:
I think the wolf is mean. He tries to get the pigs.
Lastly, the kids will write in their journal on the topic of their choice. What the are seeing through this story is how we can write an opinion and tell why.

Math: We end our unit on addition/subtraction today with an independent activity sheet that the kids will do in order to show what they know. Also, in preparation for our 100th day tomorrow, the kids will begin making a 100th day math book.

~Late start is tomorrow and our 100th day! I can't wait to see all the little grannies and gramps ready to celebrate!
