Writer's Workshop: The kids continue to learn about book reviews through Where's Molly? a
story about a boy who is looking for his cat. The last time we talked
about the story events in the review and now we will focus on the illustrations. They are writing in their journal on a topic of their choice
until we learn how to write a book review.

Language Arts: Using the story Animals in Their Habitats, the students will:
~ Build academic vocabulary and concepts related to animals in their habitats.
~Summarize information from the text.
~Identify and discuss nonfiction text features (table of contents).

~Build oral language and vocabulary through whole-group and partner discussion.
