 Sight Word Focus: what
Phonics: -an Word Family
Color Word Focus: purple
 Language Arts:  Using the story Animals in Their Habitats, the students will work with chapter 3 on camels to summarize important ideas for this chapter as well as learning about text features of nonfiction: index.
Handwriting: Copying words: out, us, cut
Copying a sentence: Gus got out.
Math: (Day 2) Using a numberline, the kids will work on subtraction equations. In partners, one child rolls a dot cube and places a cube on the corresponding number (4) on the numberline. That same child rolls the dot cube again (3) and moves the cube that far backwards on the numberline. 
The other partner writes the equation: 4-3=1
 The kids will also be working on the app, Splash Math with the IPads.
Computer class today.
