KinderLiteracy: Presidents
The kids will hear The Story of the Whitehouse by Marge Kennedy for the topic of this week: Presidents Day.
They will also view A President's Job.
Our Literacy Jobs contain new activities that support CVC words, sight words, stretching out words and more!
KinderMath: Find Differences of Sets to 10
In today’s lesson, the kids will be going further than simply comparing two sets as more or less. They will be working on stating how many the difference between two sets is. For this activity, each pair will need two sets of number cards 1-10 and 20 snap cubes. Each partner will pull a card and build that amount of cubes. Students will then “make friends” with their cubes so they can easily see how many more/fewer. Again, the kids will focus on stating the amount that the difference is.
All this week students from the high school Spanish class will be coming to our room. They have prepared a Spanish name for each of the kids and will call them by that name when they are here. Today, the students plan to do activities with numbers and colors.
Social Studies: George Washington
The kiddos will be introduced to our first president and a little bit about his life.
