Letter Study: Review letters/sounds (N, 0)
Phonological Awareness: Listening and Repeat: The children repeat a sequence of words EX: (bath/light/spoon/hill)
Produce Rhyme: I tell the kids a sentence and leave off the last word.

Writer's Workshop: To launch today's lesson, the kids will hear "Arthur Writes a Story" by Marc Brown. We will revisit the list of things we can write about and then I will model how I can recall some stories I have shared with them. The next step is to draw a picture of at least 3 different pictures on a tri-fold paper. Your child will bring a tri-fold paper home with their stories today! Be sure to talk about what they drew.

Comparing Names
The kids built their name towers yesterday with connecting cubes. Today, they will compare their own name to each of their friends' names to see if it is longer, shorter, or the same. Their work focuses on:
~Developing language for comparing lengths (Long, longer than, short, shorter than, the same, equal to.)
**This is day 2 of this lesson.**
