Phonics: -un Word Family Language Arts: Using the poster Big and Small, the children will work on comparisons and contrasts in photographs and text. They will also compare and contrast signal words in text.
A storybook reader is scheduled for 10:10 to read The Night Before St. Patrick's Day.
Writer's Workshop: What would you do if you found a pot of gold?
Math: As we begin the next unit on Place Value, the children will work with egg cartons that have been made into 10 compartments to replicate a 10-Frame. They will be given several bags that have 7-10 items to count out and place in each compartment. This is just another way to work with a 10-Frame and set the stage for tomorrow's work on more than 10. For instance, 18 is 10 and 8 more.
