 Language Arts: Through the story Who's in the Shed? by Brenda Parkes, the kids will build academic vocabulary and concepts related to farms, review concepts of print, and make inferences about the text. (We were unable to do this lesson yesterday as the whole elementary participated in a 'Drop Everything and Read' session in the hallways.)

 Handwriting: lowercase y & j
Writer's Workshop: Again, using the story The Enormous Watermelon, the kids will write a review on their favorite part and why.

Math: The next couple of lessons work with composing and decomposing numbers through a term called Number Bonds.Today's lesson is about finding the missing number in the bond. For instance, If the whole number is 6 and we know one of the parts is 4, what is the other part? (2)
