 Phonics: -ip Word Family

 Language Arts: Through the story Who's in the Shed? by Brenda Parkes, the kids will build academic vocabulary and concepts related to farms, review concepts of print, and make inferences about the text.

 Writer's Workshop: The kids will write about the Cat in the Hat.

Math: The next couple of lessons work with composing and decomposing numbers through a term called Number Bonds. For instance, the number 7 has the numbers 3 and 4 bonded to it. If you google an image of 'Number Bond', it will show you a graphic of what we will use to work on this.

 Smart Room Highlight: Crawling Through the Rainbows to find the Pot of Gold

 We are making green eggs and ham this afternoon! 

~The kids will be taught by The Cat in the Hat today! Last Friday, your child chose if they wanted to be Thing 1 or 2 and will become the students of the cat! Watch for pictures tomorrow.
