Computer Class Today

 Math: Counting On

New Concept:  Today we are going to play “Count ON!” again.  This time we are going to add a little challenge. We are going to start with 10 in the cup. So Player 1 will put 10 cubes in the cup. Then Player 2 will pull a card and count on.  So if Player 2 pulled a 6 it would sound like this, “11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16.” Then I can check to see if I counted correctly by using the 10-frame. 
Whole Group Explore: Today you will get to play “Count on” with your partner.  
For some this will be an easy task.  Others will need more support to count on (vs counting all).  
Student Application:  On paper, the kids will work independently on a "counting on".
