Blend Focus: fr
Reader's Workshop: Again, we will use the poem Hot Cross Buns to work on using inflection, expression, and intonation to make their reading sound like talking. We will then move into reading Look at It Go! to practice these skills.

Writer's Workshop: Remembering to put the "Why" in our Writing
Math: Addition Equations
New Concept: Today we are going to play “Shake, Shake, Shake” again. We are going to start with 6 counters in my cup (count them as you put them in). Now I am going to shake, shake, shake them and spill them out on the floor. I have to be really careful to keep my pieces close to me. Now I can talk about this. “I have 4 red and 2 yellow. That makes 6.” I can also write about this. 4 + 2 = 6.  Repeat this demonstration a few times.
Whole Group Explore: Students will start with 6 chips in their cup.  Half way through the explore, we will add another chip to their cup.
