Math: 10 and ____ Make ______ .

New Concept: We have done such a great job of counting 10’s and 1’s. Today I want to use the egg carton again to help me count. First I will spin the spinner. I will fill the egg carton-10 frame first, then I will place the ones down next to it. Be sure to use the math talk card.
Whole Group Explore: Today you will play a game with your partner. Partner #1 will  spin the spinner. They will then use their egg carton-10 frame to count out that number. Finally, they will use the math talk card to talk about their number. Partner #2 will coach their partner and help them. Then you will switch jobs.
Student Application: Students will work independently on making teen numbers by 10's and 1's.
