 Math: Combine Sets to 10 (Part 1)

Combos to 10 are so vitally important in setting a solid foundation our kids will need for first grade. Today, the kids will be building all the possible combinations to 10 with connecting cubes, similar to the picture below.

(We did not get to this before break.) 

In this lesson, students learn why spring is the best time for babies to be born. In the activity, Build A Bird Nest, students make a model of a bird nest and notice how birds can change their environment to meet their needs when they build their nests.
